Yes. Medmate operates in full compliance with AHPRA telehealth regulations, using only fully registered Australian doctors and maintaining robust clinical governance protocols. All consultations are conducted synchronously in real time, either via telephone or video.
If a consult is clinically inappropriate or outside the scope of telehealth, the patient will be advised to see their regular GP or visit a medical centre. No fee is charged in these cases, and the patient will be notified of the outcome by the Medmate clinical team.
Medmate clinicians strongly value continuity of care. After each consultation, patients receive a summary they can easily share with their regular GP, helping keep everyone informed when interim care is provided.
